Adaptive World Models

How do humans learn so fast? We don't just learn "what to do." We build World Models.

A world model is an internal, miniature simulation of the environment. It's your intuitive understanding of the rules of the world, including:

  • Objects: "That's a ball."
  • Dynamics: "If I drop the ball, it will fall."
  • Causal Relations: "If the ball hits the pins, they will fall over."

When you encounter a new situation, you're not learning from scratch. You're just building a new model or adapting an old one.
